Quick Facts

    • Founded in 1976.
    • Currently enrolls 166 students age three to grade eight.
    • Has been a certified Wisconsin Green & Healthy School since 2007.
    • Located in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood on Graham Street, just east of Howell Ave. and south of Lincoln Ave.
    • Resides in the beautiful and historic St. Augustine Church school building, built in 1888.
    • Employs over 20 faculty and staff.
    • Is one of the City of Milwaukee’s oldest and most diverse charter schools.
    • Children who reach age 4 by September 1st of a given academic year, and who reside in the City of Milwaukee can be enrolled with tuition covered by public funds.
    • Follows the principles and philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.
    • Offers a comprehensive curriculum, including art, music, and physical education.
    • Is a partner school in the Neighborhood Environmental Education Program (NEEP) at the Urban Ecology Center, one of the foremost environmental education programs in the US.
    • Is a partner school with Milwaukee’s Growing Power, a nationally-renown urban farm organization led by Will Allen.
