This past weekend, DMA students devoted their Saturday to organize and deliver their hand made School Kit Bags for shipment out of the country. The students and parents worked through the cold and rain to make sure each box was loaded onto the boxcar. They helped load not only DMA’s kits, but other boxes that were dropped off by other organizations for shipment.
To the refugee children who will receive our School Kits, these supplies mean the difference between getting an education or not. Even a few required supplies, like pens and paper, may be more than many families can afford. Because of our students and with the help of parent and community donations, the volunteers were able to ship 25 kits!
Thank you, everyone!
